The stupid son of a biscuit was beside an 18-wheeler at a red light on a 50 MPH 8-lane divided state highway. Hardly any traffic. Light turns green. Truck starts driving off. The motorcyclist, however, was too busy texting his other biker bros to notice the rest of the traffic headed towards his tailpipe at AT LEAST 50.
I’ve seen car drivers do it. Hell, I saw more than three people do it today on the same stretch of road this morning on the way into work. But I have never seen a motorcyclist be so deeply involved in his instatwatterbook posts that he put himself in danger of getting rear ended.
I was the driver coming up at 50-ish directly behind him. Upon seeing his head jammed up his ass, I got over as quickly (and safely) as I could. The driver behind me had to slam on his/her brakes to avoid getting a new hood ornament.

I don’t condone murder, but one time while driving, a douchebro mcfuckface was riding a custom chopper, cell phone in hand, in flip flops and beachwear, with his girlfriend on the back in a bikini, also texting. Both had sunglasses on though so, that’s nice? All I could think was just....5 feet to the left. Avoiding a pothole. Maybe sometyhing darts into the road. But that’s all it would’ve taken and both would be instantly eliminated from the gene pool.

I personally have no issues whatsoever with use at stop lights, I think the average person is so hopelessly addicted to their devices that allowing that may help alleviate use while moving (most places I’ve been that prohibit usage while driving, also prohibit use at lights)
That said, yeah, if you’re going to be that far gone in glow-ey screen land, pull the fuck over.

Use at stop lights? No problem. I do it as well on occasion.
But I also pay attention to the damned light.
